Blissful Postnatal Gifts has a specifically designated area within our brand new home which is used only for preparing your placenta, with high quality new, clean & hygienic equipment, temperature controlled refrigeration and cleaning & sanitising process in place to ensure the highest quality of production is maintained at all times.

I am a qualified healthcare professional, who has been thoroughly trained in the correct handling of human tissue, using an aseptic technique and appropriate decontamination and sterilisation techniques. I have completed the appropriate blood borne virus training, and occupational health and food safety training. I have completed my Placenta Encapsulator Course through Brilliant Birth Academy. I am a current member of the International Institute for Complementary Therapists and am fully insured. 

From 36 weeks gestation and after full payment of your selected package has been made, you will be issued with a Blissful Postnatal Gifts Esky for the safe transport of your placenta. I aim to collect your placenta within a few hours following birth, however due to the nature of my work, it can take up to 24 hours. This will be discussed further during our Booking Appointment either by phone or in person. If there was to be an anticipated delay in the pick up time frame, it would be recommended that your placenta be stored in the fridge until pick up occurs. We aim to process your placenta as soon as it is collected, however if this was not possible, your placenta would be stored in our fridge solely used for placenta storage only. At Blissful Postnatal Gifts, we follow the Identification process which includes 3 forms of identification at all times (Name, DOB, Identification number) to avoid any chance of mix up from happening. Only 1 placenta will be processed at any one time.

We use hospital grade cleaner followed by sanitising agent before processing, during processing and in between each placenta to ensure no chance of contamination occurs.

I pride myself on a fast turnaround - I aim to have your package back to you within 48 hours of receiving your placenta. If you live >30km from the Bundaberg CBD and have arranged drop off, I do offer Express Postage for your package once complete and packaged. This may cause a delay depending on Australia Post which would be out of my control.

This can vary depending on the method of preparation you have chosen and the size of your placenta. On average, you will receive any where from 180 - 250 capsules (estimate only, could be more, could be less) This is why Placenta Tincture is highly recommended, as this will stretch out your placentas longevity.

Blissful Postnatal Gifts offer phone support during the first week after birth to offer suggestions for placenta capsule intake and support. 

Meconium Stained Liquor - Yes

At times, babies pass a bowel motion during labour. This can be removed by cleansing the placenta and using the Gentle (Steam) Method of Encapsulation.

GBS +ve (positive) during pregnancy - Yes

GBS is completely removed by cleansing the placenta and using the Gentle (Steam) Method of Encapsulation. If it is known that you are GBS positive, you will more than likely receive a course of IV antibiotics in labour.

Caesarean section (planned or emergency) - Yes

Placenta Capsules may aid in your recovery from your caesarean as your blood loss can be greater and your milk production delayed after a caesarean. 

What if my baby is Premature? - Yes

Preterm babies are more prone to hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) and infection so placenta support could be a vital way of increasing your milk supply to nourish your baby (maintain consistent blood sugar levels) and give antibodies from breastmilk that your little one will benefit greatly from.

Booking as soon as you have made your decision to have your placenta encapsulated will secure your spot. Blissful Postnatal Gifts will only be able to take a certain number of clients each month in order to provide the safest and highest level of care and product delivery that you all deserve. You can opt to pay a Non-Refundable Booking Fee and pay the remainder of your package balance by 36 weeks or pay in full up front.
